One of the things that the staff does here in helping to ease anxieties or make you feel more comfortable is it’s really that communication. Talking to you about what exactly is happening, whether it be on the phone or once you arrive. Walking through what needs to be done or what’s led up to that to maybe cause the issue. And then throughout the process, even when I’m having my teeth worked on, they’re really great about telling me what they’re doing: “Here, we’re getting ready to use this tool, and it’s going to sound like this. Don’t be alarmed, it’s going to sound worse than it really is.” “Okay, here’s what we need to do; we’ve ran into this, we’re going to try this.” Just that simple communication during the procedure as well as before and after about what needs to be done or what medications and what those medications might cause, any kind of side effects. It’s so helpful because it just puts you at ease. It helps you not to be alarmed, and it just makes the whole process just much easier, less scary.
The truth of the matter is, I look forward to coming in. I come in twice a year for my checkup and for my cleaning, and then obviously if there’s an issue, then I come in to have that addressed. I look forward to seeing the staff. I used to absolutely dread going to the dentist. It terrified me, and I honestly don’t feel that way about coming here because I know, like I said, they’re going to try to make me as comfortable as possible, they’re going to try to make it as painless as possible if it’s something that’s a little more invasive. But it’s a place that you enjoy actually coming and seeing the staff remember you. They remember your name, and they take fantastic care of you. It really is just a wonderful practice, and they know what they’re doing, that’s for sure.

I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled a few years ago. I started having pain. Come to find out it was, it was a little bit infected. I called and they were able to immediately get me in and examine and figure out what needed to take place and give me some medication to prep me for the procedure. And then they were able to pull it, so I didn’t have to go have a special surgery done to remove it. I really appreciated that because not only were they timely in addressing the issue, but they helped to make sure that it was going to be something that, you know, was quick to fix. And they just took great care of me, and I didn’t have any complications from that, and I really appreciated that. They had great follow-through and follow-up from that procedure. In preparing for that procedure, they were great about telling me what needed to be done and why it needed to be done.
I did not like the idea of having to go somewhere else. And so they really looked at it and made sure it was something that was going to be able to take care of here easily in-house. And so they … we had a few days, I had to take some medication to make sure that that tooth, and there wasn’t any infection that was going to spread, and got me the right medication, got me in here, got it taken care of, and then were able to check in on me afterwards and make sure that I had what I needed to heal properly. They were great about explaining what I needed to do as well in terms of after the surgery and make sure that I didn’t have any complications. They just, it was not a scary thing, and I really appreciated that cause that was the first time I’d ever had a tooth that really had an issue. And they walked me through it and made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of.
I have friends who’ve had cosmetic work done. I’d never had it done before. And I talked to Dr. Ligon about Botox and lip fillers. His prices were very affordable. He made me feel extremely comfortable about the whole process.
I initially started with just Botox, and then after I had the Botox with Dr. Ligon, I decided to have the lip filler done as well, and it just really helped improve my confidence and made me feel better about my smile.
Dr. Ligon explained everything from start to finish very thoroughly. His staff explained the process well. Any questions I had were answered very quickly.
I’m very glad that I did it. I’m much more confident with my smile, and I wouldn’t change my decision to have Botox or fillers.
For someone that’s just inquiring about Botox or lip filler, I would recommend talking to Dr. Ligon first. He can answer any questions that you have, make you feel comfortable about the process, and just let you know what to expect. It’s easy to make a decision from there.
I’ve been coming to Dallas Street Dental for over a decade now, and I love coming here because the staff are wonderful. They are welcoming, they’re very professional. They always put me at ease, no matter if I’m just having an annual checkup or a biannual checkup or if I’m coming for a more invasive procedure. They always help me feel calm, and they take great care of me and always have. You don’t dread coming to the dentist; I know that was something that I always did beforehand. I was always very nervous about coming to the dentist, but coming here, I don’t feel that way. I know they’re going to answer all my questions. They’re going to help make the procedure as painless as possible if it’s more invasive. It’s just an experience that I don’t dread, and I really appreciate that about coming to the dentist.
Dr. Ligon is great. He’s not only fantastic at what he does and very professional, but he’s also, he’s just a fun guy to visit with. I enjoy visiting with him when I come to get my teeth done or for him to work on them. I love that he always explains too what he’s doing. So he doesn’t just jump in; he tells me what we’re going to have done, why we’re going to do it, if we’re going to do it over several different visits, and explains why that’s for the best. And I really appreciate that he always listens to me and my concerns and also explains to me what’s going to take place. He just has always done a great job. And I appreciate too that he tries to take care of things in-house as best as he can. There’s been times where I think they could have referred me out, but we tried to take a less invasive approach, and they’ve been able to take care of me for everything I’ve needed here at Dallas Street Dental.
I had originally gotten veneers done when I was 17. I had gotten a tooth chipped in a tragic wrestling accident, so I wasn’t really super happy with the veneers that I’d gotten done back then, and it had been several years since then. And just in coming and talking to Bill and his staff over the years, decided it was about time to go ahead and get some new work done. And we ended up going beyond just the front two, which is what I had done previously, and did six crowns to replace that. And I’m really happy with how they look, it looks natural. I get a lot of compliments on my smile since then, and I just couldn’t be happier.
I’d say that, to get the crowns done, I came in, we took measurements of what my teeth were and how it was going to fit in my mouth, and Dr. Ligon made a mold here, got everything sent off to his lab to get it crafted, and put in good-looking temporary work to get me through until everything came back. It wasn’t a long process. Within a couple of weeks, I had everything up and finished and looking great. Dr. Ligon did great work. I am completely satisfied with everything I got done. It looks great, it feels great. It’s easy to chew, easy to smile.
I don’t have any of the other issues that I had sometimes with the veneers that I had done previously. They didn’t ever really feel right in my mouth for a long time, and these just work. So it feels good, I like it. Dr Ligon does a great job at telling you what’s going to look right, what’s, what’s going to be the best avenue for you. Even if you think you have an idea of what you want done, if he knows that there’s a better method to get that taken care of, that may even be cheaper, more cost effective, whatever. I’ve seen him work with a lot of patients to make sure that whatever they’re getting done is what they need done. Everyone I know that uses this office loves it.
This practice just feels like home. Everybody here is super friendly, remembers who you are and what’s going on and everything else. I don’t like going into an office where it just seems like I’m a number, and here, everyone treats me like a person and treats me like family. I’ve been coming to see Bill for a long time. He’s a great dentist. He’s always taken good care of me and gotten me in quick and easy and no hassle. Everybody that works here is really easy to walk you through what’s going to happen, what it’s going to be like. There’s no mystery as to what the procedure they’re going to be doing that day is. And they make sure that you’re aware of how it’s going to feel through the process. I mean, everything I’ve had done, it wasn’t like there was any pain or discomfort, but it’s just nice to know what’s happening and what to expect. So I think that they do a great job of keeping me informed as to what we’re doing that day.
When I had to get a crown replaced at Dr. Ligon’s office, it was really around … I thought I had a cavity, but in essence I had a tooth that was actually fracturing. So he was able to get me in that day. He was able to repair the tooth and then get me set up for the return visit for the crown.
Overall, it took about two weeks, three weeks to get it done. It was very easy, very quick. I didn’t suffer any pain. He even asked me as I had left out of their office whether or not I was still having pain or not with the tooth. And luckily for me, I did not. So it was excellent service.
Had that crown for, I’d say, at least eight years, and I’ve not had any issue with it. So I would highly recommend it. One other thing that he did for me was, Dr. Ligon did for me, was a bridge. And I was concerned about the bridgework being a temporary, meaning an appliance I’d have to put in every day.
He was able to put the secure bolts in it so it’s a permanent bridge. To me it feels just like my natural teeth. I would highly recommend that if you have bridge issues, that process was just about the same. Came in, thought I was going to have issues with a tooth. Come to find out it was unrepairable. So scheduled me for extraction. Came in, got the extraction. He then did a prep for the replacement of the tooth, and then when I came back in, my bridge was available. He put in the appliance to hold the bolt, the bridge in place, and he slipped it on. It was no problem.
My recommendation for anyone who’s going to have bridgework or crownwork is, first of all, having a trusted dentist like Dr. Ligon who’s not going to just ask, you know, look at it, the tooth, and say, “Oh, you just need to go ahead and do a crown,” but actually look at if he can restore the tooth prior to, which seems to be the case here for me.
He tried every means possible to repair the tooth without having a crown or bridge. We had consultation. We decided upon doing the crown and the bridge. It was more of a team effort. It wasn’t necessarily just based solely on his recommendation. I had to feel comfortable with it as well.
That’s the key to his delivery of service is that, do you feel comfortable with his service? Yeah. I feel comfortable with him. If you don’t feel comfortable with your dentist, I would recommend you seek out another professional.
I love coming to his practice and seeing Dr. Ligon and his staff, because they’re very friendly, open, honest, always on time. In my busy schedule, I’ve never had to wait more than five minutes to get in from an appointment time. I think what sets Dr. Ligon’s office apart from other other places I’ve been to is basically the staff, the ability to get with him, get an appointment same day if I have an emergency, which is very rare, but on the times that I’ve had to, he’s made room for me to come in. Also, I like the decor, the feel, the openness of his rooms. It’s very relaxing.
When I go to the dentist’s office, there are times when I’m apprehensive. What I found at Dr. Ligon’s office is that they receive you, they smile at you, they shake your hand or they talk to you. They say, “How’s your day? How’s it going?” They sit you down into the chair. The chair is always comfortable, open windows, nice view, TV is playing. Sometimes you can watch what you want or you can listen to music. It’s just open and it’s not very clinical. It’s very appealing and very calming, for me at least.
Well, as a child, I had a lot of dental services, and to be honest with you, it was a really painful, uncomfortable, somewhat traumatic experience as a kid. And so through my young adulthood, I’ve stayed away from dental practices for a long time, knew I needed to come in, knew I had some outstanding issues that I needed to address.
I saw Dallas Street Dental as a local community sponsor at a event that I participated in, and I thought I’d give them a shot, right here, local to a business that I owned. Came down here. Was overwhelmed with the warmness and friendliness of the staff. Couldn’t have felt more comfortable with the team. Met Dr. Bill. Over the years, kind of became friends with the dentist and his team. Just a real warm, welcoming environment. Everybody’s super casual and friendly, and you can tell that they love what they do and enjoy being here in a real family environment. And always really focus on pain-free services, as much as dental service, because it ever be enjoyable. And I really appreciate that about them.
From the welcoming experience at the front door on through the … Dr. Bill and his support staff to the hygienist and dental assistants, you can tell that they’re always very attentive to your comfort level as a patient. Not just comfortable being here, but pain tolerance and being able to address that and communicating things that may have some discomfort in it – communicating that, make sure the patient’s prepared for that. You can tell that they pay a lot of attention to the patients’ needs and overall well-being.
