This is the best dentist office I have been to, and the only one I will ever go to again. Dr. Ligon and his entire staff are friendly, informative and take excellent care when you are in the chair. Extraction, root canal and deep cleaning — NO Pain, whatsoever! Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Halloween is just around the corner! Whether you are planning to go trick or treating with your child or simply want to indulge in a few treats, it’s important to keep your oral health in mind at the same time. Certain candies and treats are more harmful to your teeth than others, and we’re sharing the candies terrible for your teeth:
- Gummy candies
These chewy candies can do tremendous harm to your teeth! Because they are not as easy to chew, they can easily pull out fillings or get between your teeth and be difficult to remove. Plus, if they happen to be sour, it is highly acidic and erodes your enamel.
- Caramels
Much like gummy candies and taffy, caramels are chewy candies that stick between your teeth.
- Jawbreakers
Nothing screams “bad for your teeth” more than a jawbreaker! Not only can this harm your teeth if you happen to crunch down on it, but it also exposes your teeth to more sugar over a longer period of time.
- Lollipops
Much like jawbreakers, lollipops give you more sugar over a longer period of time. Plus, by crunching down on a lollipop, that sticky candy can get stuck on your enamel.
- Caramel apples
Underneath all that sugar might be a healthy apple, but what’s on top is bad for your teeth. Also, a caramel apple can be particularly harmful to people who have braces!
